Jim D. Tifft, age 63, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011. He was born on October 30, 1947 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Etta Mae Tifft, and his brother who proudly served as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam War. Jim worked as a CPA with Stewart and Stewart for fourty years of his life, he was a man who loved his work. He was a very active member of Grace Tabernacle, an independent assembly of god, where he served as both a youth leader and music director for many years. He loved music and played several instruments including the piano, the tuba, and of course the guitar. For many years he played with different gospel groups such as Mary Thompson and the Gospel Ventures, as well as the group Solid Gospel. he will be sorely missed by the many people whose lives were touched by his life. Including all the members of the Tifft and Hoover families. Janice, Lucky, and Kevin Chinn, and Angie, Doug, Taylor, and Zack Bowes. As well as his first and only love and life long friend Glenda and his favorite "feline" Moon. Jim is survived by his two sons, Daniel and Erik Tifft.
