Hester Yvonne Dayberry was born on May 5, 1938 to John Ira and Suviva Mae Azlin Dayberry in Grandview, Mo. She passed from this life on August 24, 2011 in Tulsa, OK. She has now joined the family reunion of those that have passed before her which includes her daughter Carla Jo Waldrep, son Edward Waldrep, parents John and Mae Dayberry, brother William Dayberry, sisters Ruby and Letha Dayberry, and ex husband Charles David Waldrep. She is survived by two daughters, Pam Wood and husband David, Kim Bachman and husband Dennis; three sons, Steve Waldrep and wife Mary, Keith Waldrep and wife Cathy, and son Robert Waldrep. She leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. She is also survived by sisters; Wanda Curtis and husband Alvin(Sonny), Beatrice Ledbetter and husband Gerald; brother John Dayberry and wife Maria and many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Hester graduated from Rend Lake College with an Associates degree in Nursing and worked in the medical profession until she retired in 1997. But being a mother and a grandmother was the best of her professions. She professed Christ at an early age and raised her children to know and love the Lord. Hester was an artist which loved to paint everything from nick-knacks to murals, she loved to sew and make quilts for her grandchildren. She loved to read and would read anything she could; from the time she was five years old.
