Obituary of OSCAR Edward PEEK

Oscar Edward Peek was born on December 25, 1942 in Tonkiwa, OK and passed away on October 5, 2014 at the age of 71. He was one of ten children and a loved brother, father and grandfather. Oscar graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1961. He joined the National Guard in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1972. While in high school he worked for Gerald’s Supermarket and remained employed with them until 1971. He started his employment with Standard Tobacco Company in 1972 and worked there until he finally had to retire in 2011 due to health problems. Oscar had many friends and was loved by those who knew him. He had a witty sense of humor, along with a cantankerous personality, which was his quiet strength. He was very loyal and admired by all. He fought a very long battle with cancer and will be truly missed. Oscar is survived by his daughter Stacy Youngblood, her son Braden and daughter Aubrey; his son Brian Peek, daughter-in-law Chris Davis, sons Brady, Collin, Ethan, James and daughter Ashlyn. He is also survived by his sister Roberta, brothers Jackie, Leon, Leonard, and sisters, Opal and Linda and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fern Peek; his sister Rhetta, brother Jerry and sister Irene. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
