Obituary of Betty Hargrove

June Hargrove was born June 1, 1928 at Whitehouse Community, Arkansas to John Dennie and Grace Robertson. She passed away Tuesday Morning, June 5, 2012. June is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Hargrove, her mother and father, sisters, Opal Blevins and Lavone Adams. She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Hargrove of Oklahoma City, Cathy Smith of Sapulpa and son, John Hargrove of Sapulpa; grandchildren, Tim Hawkins and wife, Jennifer, Nick Gordon and wife, Rachelle, Lauren Smith and Rachel Hargrove and great grandchildren, Bailey and Brooklynn. Mom and Dad joined First Baptist Church in Sapulpa where they had many friends and were involved over the years. After they were married, she enjoyed working downtown where she was a dental assistant for many years. She later volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at St John Hospital. They traveled many places and enjoyed spending time with many friends and all of her kid's friends who came over often. She cherished her grandchildren. She loved them all. She spent time with them, cooking, reading to them and everything else. Mom spent the last couple of years at Greentree Assisted Living in Prattville. Her apartment window looked out at a wonderful wooded hillside that she often said reminded her of the place she lived as a child. She enjoyed life there very much! We want to thank Greentree for the caring and loving staff they provided. Our thanks cannot be expressed enough. Memorial Service for June will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 15, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Sapulpa. The Reverend Doyle Pryor will officiate.
