Obituary of Sarah Mae Smith

Sarah Mae Smith, age 65, resided at Northside Nursing Home, where she passed to Glory on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from complications of the liver. Sarah was born May 23, 1949 in Cushing, Oklahoma to parents, Jack and Delores Lorett. During her life she lived mostly in the Sapulpa and Drumright area. Sarah worked since 1982 as an LPN at several nursing homes including Northside Nursing Home where she resided. She also worked as a truck driver, traveling all over the United States. She is survived by her parents; Jack and Pansey Lorett, of Cushing: children; Angela Lassiter, of Tulsa, Kenneth “Rusty” Brown, of Sapulpa, Valerie Brown, of Sapulpa: grandchildren; Eric Lassiter, of Oilton, Keith Lassiter, of Sapulpa, Travis Curry, of Sapulpa, step brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Lorett; her brother, Donald Lorett, her first husband, Kenneth O. Brown, step-mothers Juanita Lorett and Joyce Lorett and her second husband, Daniel Smith. A family gathering at Café USA will follow the service. We the family would like to thank those who helped in the care of Sarah during her last few months, Northside Nursing Home and Rivercross Hospice.
