Obituary of Wanda Lynn Smith

Wanda Lynn Smith was born January 10, 1926 to Leslie and Ruth McVay in Bonham, Texas. She passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the age of 89. Wanda worked as a secretary in the offices of the Pipeliners Union Local 798 in Tulsa until retirement at the age of 65. When she wasn't working she loved to square dance and was active in the Tulsa area square dance clubs. Wanda had a kind heart and she loved animals. She was known to give a good home to the occasional stray dog or cat that happened along. During her later years Jake, Tiger and Missy were constant companions. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruth and sister, Dorothea McVay. She is survived by sister, Janelda Craig; her son Mike and daughter in law Mary, four grandsons, three great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Her services will be held Graveside at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12-9 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home.
