Obituary of Denise Jean Leybas

Denise was born September 6, 1968, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and died in Okmulgee on January 29, 2015. Denise spent her formative years growing up in Hartshorne, Oklahoma where she finished high school and later took computer classes at the college level. Denise was active in Brownies, Girl Scouts, and softball. She played the piano and guitar; she excelled in singing and writing poems. Denise could often be found in the midst of a group being the comedian. She was a very happy person. She accepted Christ into her life and was baptized in 1979 at the Church of Christ in McAlester, Oklahoma. Survivors include: mother, Wanda St. John of Owasso, Oklahoma, brother John Honeywell of Dallas, daughter, Jolene Leybas and grandson, Silas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Roy Honeywell and brother, Roy Honeywell II, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim St. John.
