Obituary of Margaret A. Batson

Jimmy Brown, Sr. and Lula Mae Seals-Brown started a life together in Ada, Oklahoma—after deciding to serve the Lord, within their union, a beautiful Angel embarked upon this earth in the form of Margaret (Brown) Batson on October 4, 1938. She was one of 13 children. Margaret was called to her heavenly home on February 1, 2015. Margaret married Benjamin Batson in 1984 and their union was blessed with 2 sons; Gary Brown and Leroy Brown. Margaret worked at the Garden Nursing Home for many years and retired in 2004. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Lula Mae Brown; brothers Murray, Oscar and Virus Brown; and sisters Alice Brown, Mazella Brown, Opal McCarty, Margie Smith, Helen Lynch and Mary Ann Lynch; and grandson Tony Marshall. She is survived by her sons Gary Brown; Leroy Brown and wife Nora; daughter Betty Lawson and husband Joe; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great, great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
