Obituary of Lois J Giddeon

Lois Jean Shelton Giddeon was born Feb. 19, 1922 in Porum, Okla. and passed away March 9, 2015 in Okla. City, Okla. As a child she lived in various towns and graduated High School from Cleveland, Oklahoma. Lois married H.C. Dewitt from this union was one son Larry Dewitt. She then married to Lloyd G. Giddeon. They resided in the Drumright/Cushing area and had 4 children; Carla Giddeon of Perkins, Lloyd Jr. of New Castle, Connie Giddeon of Perkins and Carmen Martin of Oklahoma City. Lois worked as a medical transcriptionist for Cushing and Stillwater hospitals, well into her 80's. She was an avid China painter, enjoyed traveling and shopping, QVC and was very fond of her dogs. Lois leaves behind 3 daughters Carla, Connie, Carmen and son in law Gary, and 1 son Lloyd Jr. and daughter in law Dietra. Grandchildren Larry D. Dewitt of Strang, OK, Karen Todd of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kriston Maker of New Castle, Trace Giddeon of New Castle, Shauna Sadeghy of Edmond, Ashlee Martin of Guthrie and Rachel Martin of Oklhoma City, OK, 6 great grandchildren, one sister in law Rene Shelton of Wichita, Kansas and several nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by parents Rex & Mell Shelton, sisters Rachel Usher, Faye Martin, brother Bill Shelton, her son Larry Dewitt and one grandson Eric R. Martin. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to Stillwater Humane Society, Stillwater, OK. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Green Hill Funeral Home.
