Obituary of Charles David Ford
Charles David Ford passed from this life and entered his heavenly home March 31, 2015, at the age of 82. Charles was born November 12, 1932 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Andrew Jackson Ford and Bessie Fowler Gott. He was one of 3 children with siblings Helen and Billy Ford.
Charles graduated from Kellyville High School and was a commercial painter. He married Velma Juanita Hubbard in Sapulpa, Oklahoma February 3, 1952. He lived in Sapulpa for over 60 years. Charles enjoyed fishing, wood crafts and spending time with his family. Charles was raised Methodist but later attended Free Will Baptist Services.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Bessie Ford; Marvin Hubbard; Doris Hubbard; Richard Hubbard; Heron Oxford; Ed and Ethel Hubbard. He is survived by his wife, Velma Ford of Sapulpa; daughter Terry Burger of Sapulpa; son Jim Ford and wife Pat of Sapulpa; grandchildren Carissa Collins; Eric Collins of Sapulpa; Jaime Sutton; Charlie Sutton of Neosha, MO; Amy Heitz; Randy Heitz of Norman, OK; Katie Patterson of Collinsville, OK; Charles Patterson of Del City, OK; great-grandchildren Cayden Collins; Camryn Sutton; and Kyndall Sutton; Kaylie Sutton. Charles is also survived by Lloyd Hubbard, Hazel Rose; Bill Rose; Donna Hubbard and many nieces and nephews. Charles was very loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 3, 2015 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-9 pm and Thursday from 9 am until 9 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home.
