Obituary of Bobbie Jo Barnett

On February 29, 1944 a bouncing baby girl was born, To Harry and Kathryn (Pruitt) Barnett. They named her Bobbie Jo Barnett. Bobbie Jo attended Sapulpa Public Schools, And Graduated with the Class of ‘1962’. In her early years Bobbie Jo formed a union with George Frederick Robertson Sr. To this union four children were born, Ronald E. Robertson, Brenda J. Robertson, George F. Robertson Jr., and Harry L. (Barnett) Robertson. Starting her career, Bobbie Jo worked as a Creek County Sheriff Dispatcher. Later in life she moved to Oakland, California where she was a resident for many years. While in California, Bobbie Jo worked as a Security Guard for the Federal Social Security Commission. Her final years she moved to Desoto, Texas, with her niece LaTanya Whisenton. On Thursday April 16th, 2015 Bobbie Jo was called home. Preceding her in death is her husband George F. (Chicken) Robertson Sr.; son George F. Robertson Jr.; her parents Harry and Kathryn (Pruitt) Barnett; sister Joyce “Cookie” (Barnett) Morrow; and brother Malcolm “Mike” Barnett Sr. Bobbie Jo leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons Ronald of California; and Harry of California; 1 daughter Brenda of Tulsa, OK; 1 sister Harrice (Barnett) Mitchell of Sapulpa, OK; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, and Friends. Services will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Burial will be at North Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00 - 9:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home.
