Ivy, You were the first grandchild and you stole our hearts from the first moment we held you that cold January day. You were a giggly little girl who grew into a confident and inspiring young woman. Your cheerful disposition and that beautiful smile could make even the worst of times seem bearable. You lived life the "Ivy way". It seemed nothing was unattainable if you set a goal, you found the path to make it a reality. I only wish you would have known the profound impact you had on others. You were the first child, the big sister, the BFF, the best cousin ever, the team spirit, and a mentor to so many. You would just call to say "I miss my Granny", or text to tell us some exciting news, or to see if Papa needed help opening the pool (albeit, to be certain you had a season pass). You were the compass, the shoulder to cry on, the one to count on to always be there if you were needed. .... con't.

Words can not explain the disbelief and heartache that I am felling for the loss of your wonderful daughter Ivy. In the last few days I have seen the love and grief of so many people this amazing young lady has touched, it has moved me to tears.
