Obituary of Derrell Lynn Laird

Derrell Laird, 58, of Broken Arrow departed from this Earth on June 9th, 2015 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Derrell was preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Jesse Laird and one sister Deborah Ratledge. Derrell was born June 12, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Central High School in Tulsa. Most of his working years were spent as a truck driver. Derrell enjoyed playing softball, bowling, attending his grandkids sporting events and spending as much time with his family and friends as time would allow. Derrell is survived by his wife Carolyn, of the home, whom he was untied in marriage with on December 29th, 1974; one brother, Jim and and wife Martha of Tennessee; 3 daughters, Christy Glass and husband Jason of Tulsa, Sherrie and Daniel Smith of Bristow and Kimberly and Juston Woods of Sapulpa. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Amber, Bryce, Jacob, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Riley and Colton, as well as countless other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
