Obituary of A.J. Carter

A.J. Carter was born May 20, 1955 in Tulsa, OK to James A. Carter, Jr. (deceased) and Ola Mae Duke Carter (deceased). He had two brothers, Allen Gene Carter and Eddie J. Carter and one sister, Rebecca Gilbert. He was married to Donna Faye Lively Jones on August 10, 1979 and had two sons, Anthony Neil Carter and Jason Aaron Carter. He was grandfather to Eliza Harley Carter whom he affectionately called Harley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Mark Gilbert, Terri Gilbert, Ginger McDonald, Justin Carter, Jamie Carter, several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends. A.J. was a long time resident of Sapulpa and was an avid motorcycle rider. The majority of his life he worked in the auto parts business. He was known by many people as a “Good Ole Boy” who liked to make you laugh. Everywhere he went he was cutting up with people so he could make them smile. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Services will be moved into Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel if severe weather occurs.
