Obituary of Dayton Woodman Moss

Dayton Woodman “Flop” Moss passed away August 17, 2015 at the age of 88. He was born in Tulsa, OK on September 25, 1926 to Chester Dayton and Lena (Fitzgerald) Moss. He was a lifelong Tulsa resident. Dayton married Joy Marie Mullins on July 21, 1951 in Tulsa, OK and they celebrated 61 years of marriage before she passed away in March of 2013. He was a graduate of Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa and briefly attended the University of Tulsa. He served our country during World War II in the United States Army. Dayton worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and retired in 1981. Dayton was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Lena Moss; brother Howard Moss; and sister Wilma Moss Harding. He is survived by son Brad Moss and his wife Janet of Tulsa; daughter Jennie McClendon and her husband Billy of Sand Springs; grandchildren Lisa Haley; Katie Burton; Jeff Moss; and Nick Moss; great-grandchildren Max Zayyat; Sloane Burton; Blakeleigh Burton; and Emma Moss. Private family services will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
