Obituary of Willie L Treadwell

Willie Lamont Treadwell, 83, of Kellyville, went to be with God on August 26, 2015. Willie was born in Checotah, Oklahoma on September 2, 1931 to James Thomas and Mary Ann (Sanders) Treadwell. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1951, at the rank of Sergeant. Prior to his service, he met the love of his life, Thelma Bebee. He married her on August 16, 1952, upon his return from the service. Willie worked a majority of his adult life as an insulator in the insulation industries, and was a member of Local 64. Upon his retirement, he moved to the country where he enjoyed spending time with his family, raising cattle, fishing, metal detecting, working jigsaw puzzles, and watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. Willie was a devout Christian and was a member of Crosswalk Fellowship Church. Willie is survived by his loving wife, Thelma, of the home; son Rick and wife Rosalind; son Lee and wife Cynthia; daughter Ina Evans; son Ronnie and wife Brenda; and brother Arthur Jewell Treadwell. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, eleven siblings, and son-in-law Mark Evans. Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Green Hill Funeral Home.
