Obituary of Olen Jessie Dyer

Funeral services will be held for Olen Dyer at Green Hill Funeral Home of Owasso at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 with Olen’s brother, Reverend Gerald Dyer officiating the service with a private burial following. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Green Hill Funeral Home of Owasso Chapel. He was born in home at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on November 15, 1935 to Otis Jessie and Augusta (Corp) Dyer. Olen graduated from Inola High School in 1952 and attended Bacone Junior College where he graduated in 1955. He was a Master Finish Carpenter and fisherman, who loved going to his brother Tommy’s ranch whenever he could and even in his last days. Olen made many trip with his special friend Jim Summerlin to New Mexico fishing and multiple trips to Kansas Pheasant hunting with Bill Lowe and others. He took great pride and joy in his great grandson Brandon. Survivors of the home, grandson, Skyler Dyer, Sons; Ronnie and Donnie, grandson, Matt, and great grandson Brandon, brother, Gerald and wife, Barbara of Miami, Oklahoma, sister Shirley Dunham and husband, Gerald of Inola, Oklaoma, brother, Tommy and his wife, Norma of Inola, Oklahoma, and sister in law, Floy Dyer of Inola, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Otis and Augusta Dyer and his brother Earl Dyer.
