Obituary of Mary Page Jackson
Born in Evanston, Illinois in 1937, Mary Jackson began her journey through life. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson. It was from them that Mary Learned much of her love for Jesus Christ and her love of music. It was at a young age she learned to play the piano and organ. She played Clarinet and was in the High School Marching Band. Mary graduated from High School in Plant City, Florida. She played organ and piano music for various churches during her youth. Mary was always active in church and church activities. She spent her life talking with friends and even strangers about the love of Jesus Christ. She met the love of her life in 1966 and was married to Reverend Earl Jackson soon thereafter in January 1967. She spent the remainder of her life with him in the ministry pastoring small home churches. She supported his ministry while he pastored Methodist Churches throughout the South and Mid-West. Her husband passed away in 2002. Mary has two children, Karen DeBella of Broken Arrow and David Jackson of Owasso. She has 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She worked as a Bank Teller for more than three decades until her retirement in 2002. On September 24th, 2015 Mary passed away after a valiant battle against heart disease.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, September 28, 2015 at Green Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-5 pm. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312/www.greenhillok.com
