Obituary of Annetta Mae Wynn

Annetta Mae (Johnston) Wynn passed into the Lord’s arms October 27, 2015. She was born March 15, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to Rex and Dorothy (Fox) Johnston. Annetta married Richard Lee Wynn December 23, 1965. The couple was married 43, almost 44, years and was blessed with three daughters. Annetta was preceded in death by her husband Richard Wynn; father Rex Johnston; and brother Bill Johnston. She is survived by her daughters, Tamera Arthurs and husband James; Vernia Jones and husband Harry, III; Monica Pierce and husband Bobby; brother Mike Johnston and wife Mary; grandchildren, Joel Johnson; Daniel Johnson; Tawny Lacey; Harry Jones, IV; Richard Jones; Christina Koons; Brandon Bartmier; Raylan Pierce; James Arthurs; Jerry Arthurs; Dameon Arthurs; Randy Arthurs; Tristan Bartmier; Shannon Bartmier; Ethan Bartmier; Madison Bartmier; Jason Bartmier; Kaidan Barmier; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson; Danielle Johnson; Jessica Johnson; Daniel Johnson; Mateo Johnson; Hailey Johnson; James Arthurs, Jr; Jazmine Arthurs; Harley Arthurs; Bailey Arthurs; Marcus Arthurs; Noah Arthurs; Gabrielle Arthurs; Savannah Arthurs; Regan Arthurs; Christopher Lay ; nieces, Jennifer Klaassen; Jamie Cross; Aletha Norris; Michelle Dugan; and many other relatives and friends. Annetta’s family remembers her as a warm, nurturing, caring and giving person. She loved to laugh and make others smile and laugh. If you were down, she would cheer you up. Her gift was sending everyone away with a smile. She was a second mother to her daughter’s friends. She loved her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible. She loved taking trips with them. Often they would load the camper and go see different sites or go to the lake for fishing and camping. She enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics and woodworking. She was a blessing to those around her in the nursing home. She made her rounds daily to visit and nurture those who had no other visitors. Her family loved her very much and will deeply miss her but they are grateful for the legacy of smiles and laughter she left behind. Services are at 10:30 am Friday, October 30, 2015 at Mounds First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 12-8 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home.
