Obituary of Christopher Todd McNabb

Christopher (Chris) Todd McNabb was born on September 4, 1969 to L.O. and Linda McNabb in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He passed away in his home on January 5, 2016 at the age of 46. Chris was a resident of Mounds, Oklahoma for all of his life. He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Mounds Fire Department for 20 years. Chris was a part of the Mounds Historical Society, Turkey Shoot, Booster Club President, and a lifetime member of the Mounds Christian Church. He volunteered for the Ministerial Alliance with their annual fish fry, ran the sound system for Mounds First Christian Church, was a camp counselor at Camp Christian, chaperoned the 8th Grade Annual Science Camp, and helped several Mounds churches with Vacation Bible School. Chris married Shannon Denise Britt on March 11, 2006 at the Mounds Christian Church. His place of work consisted of McNabb’s Department Store, Mounds Public Schools, Jireh Medical, 20/20 Sign Design, and Joe Cooper Ford. His passions were fishing, hunting, golfing, and socializing. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, and sports in general. He was preceded in death by his father, L.O. McNabb; maternal grandparents Jack and Kathleen Sparks; and paternal grandparents Leon and Ruby McNabb. He is survived by his mother, Linda McNabb; his wife, Shannon McNabb; his daughter, ShawnDea Dunzy; his brother, Steve McNabb and wife, Melissa McNabb and their children, Kyleigh and Connor McNabb of Mounds, Oklahoma; his brother, Tim McNabb and daughter, Kelsei McNabb of Mounds, Oklahoma; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at First Christian Church in Mounds, OK with burial in Oakwood Cemetery (Mounds) following the service. Visitation at Green Hill Funeral Home is scheduled Thursday from 5-8 pm and Friday 9 am – 8 pm. The family will be at the funeral home to greet friends from 6-8 pm Friday.
