Obituary of Arvil Ray Meadows

Arvil Ray Meadows was born in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma on June 19, 1939 to William and Elsie (McNatt) Meadows and passed away January 11, 2016 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arvil grew up on Wild Horse Mountain. He was 1 of 7 children. He attended school in Sallisaw and then joined the United States Air Force where he served his country for 6 years. He married WillowDean in 1967 and together they raised 4 children. Arvil was known as a very hardworking man. He built houses and could accomplish anything related to building. He took good care of his family and worked until retiring to care for his wife when she became ill. Arvil was preceded in death by his wife WillowDean Meadows; parents William and Elsie Meadows; daughter Kimberlee Meadows; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. He is survived by son Ricky Meadows; son Michael Meadows; daughter Arvilla Booth; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral Services are at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma with burial to follow in Sallisaw Cemetery.
