Ralph Denver Gowin was born on December 13, 1928 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Garland Denver Gowin and Ethel West Gowin. Ralph married Connye Ellene Howard on September 1, 1967. He passed from this life on July 26, 2012 at the age of 83.
He was employed by Farmers Insurance Group as an insurance adjuster until he retired. Ralph was a diehard OU Sooner fan and loved to play golf.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents Garland and Ethel Gowin, his loving wife Connye Gowin, his brother Melvin Gowin and his sister Ruby Gowin Walkup.
He is survived by two daughters, Dennette Gowin Wise and her husband Tim of Poteau, Oklahoma; Connie Gowin Bates of Van Buren, Arkansas; two sons, Bruce Gowin and his wife Tami of Norman, Oklahoma; Anthony Gowin and his wife Karen of Collinsville, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends who loved him.
