Obituary of Billy Roy Casteel

Billy Roy Casteel of Terlton, Oklahoma lost his courageous battle with cancer on January 20, 2016 at the age of 60. Billy was born January 25, 1955 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Billy and Margie Casteel. He was the youngest of three sibling. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1973. He attended Vo Tech during high school to become a CNC machinist. He went on to become one of the greatest in the industry, retiring after 40 years in 2013. Billy was a wonderful husband, father, uncle grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, Nascar, and the outdoors. He was best known for “being a know it all” in which he would always say, “If you would of listened to me in the first place.” Billy also loved hunting, even when the deer would beat up on him. Preceding him in death are his parents and his sister Fredina Pickering. Billy is survived by his wife Yvonne of the home, his son, Christopher of the home, his daughter Kim Slaton of Kiefer, stepson, Jason Desjarlais of Sapulpa, a sister, Elizabeth Hobin of Tulsa, grandsons, Gage and Skye Slaton, granddaughter, Autumn Slaton, great grandchildren Paxton and Brynne Slaton, nieces and nephews, Tony Gann, Misty Parker, Madison McReynolds, Mason McReynolds and Reine Hobin. Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday when the family will be receiving visitors.
