Obituary of Richard A Beasley

Richard A. Beasley was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on September 17, 1937 to parents Thomas Richard Beasley and Ruth (Parker) Beasley. Richard passed away January 27, 2016. Richard served in the United States Marine Corp. While in the Marine Corp he served in Okinawa as a Morse Code Specialist. He received a Good Conduct Medal during his service. Richard loved being with family, especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking family favorites for the holiday meals. He liked playing dominoes with his friends, going to play bingo, antiquing and playing video games. Richard had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Ruth Beasley; sisters Patsy Ruth Barnett; Rosemary Crook; and Camella Marie Banks; brothers Thomas Mark Beasley; and John Martin Beasley. He is survived by sons Robert Allen Beasley and wife Zenna; Keith Beasley; and Gary Leon Beasley; brother Ronald Beasley and wife Mary; 4 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Richard was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by his family. Holiday meals and other family gatherings will not be the same without the favorite dishes he cooked, his laughter and his presence. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation at the funeral home is Sunday 1-8 pm.
