Obituary of Talma R Heath
Talma R. Heath of Mounds was born in Sapulpa, OK on July 25, 1940 to parents Guy and MaryAnn (Thompson) Williams. She left this life to meet her Lord at the pearly gates of Heaven on February 11, 2016.
Talma was very musical and loved to sing. In her youth she sang on a Cushing Radio station program with her sisters under the name “The Williams Sisters.” She was a member for 30 years at Liberty Heights Freewill Baptist (Bixby), and the song director for 12-15 years. She could be heard singing throughout the day in her home. She loved going to church and serving her Lord.
Talma and Kenneth were married November 23, 1979. Both sides of this union was blessed with more children to love as they became a blended family. Talma loved her grandkids. She enjoyed being able to spoil them and send them home. There are even stories that if they were with Grandma they didn’t have to learn to talk because Grandma would do the talking for them. Talma also enjoyed watching movies; westerns, historical period movies, Hallmark movies and many others. She was an excellent cook. She made great lemon pies, the world’s best cheesecake and “the best fried chicken ever.”
Talma was preceded in death by her parents Guy and MaryAnn Williams; step-daughter Sheila Heath; sister Dorothy Clark; and brother Tommy Williams. She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband Kenneth Heath; son Brian Keith Williams and wife Rhonda of Fort Smith, AR; step-son Steve Heath of Sapulpa, OK; step-daughter Sonja Hohensee; step-daughter Shannon Heath of Mounds, OK; sister Lucille Hendrix; brother Guy Williams, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The song in her heart, her voice, her cooking and her love will be missed by family and friends alike.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2015 at Liberty Heights Freewill Baptist Church in Bixby. Visitation is 5-8 pm Monday and 9 am until 8 pm Tuesday at Green Hill Funeral Home. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312/www.greenhillok.com
