Obituary of Larry Dean Brannan

Larry Dean Brannan was born in Perry, Oklahoma on June 19, 1944. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, February 13, 2016. He was the oldest sibling of 8 children raised by Ray and Dorothy Hatfield. He attended Owasso Public School where he was a member of the Owasso FFA. After high school, Larry joined the Air Force in 1963 as part of the Special Intelligence unit. He served in Vietnam in 1964 until honorably discharged in 1967. Larry then married, adopted his son, Brian Brannan, and later had two daughters, Rene and Tina Brannan. While raising his family, Larry really enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and working on rebuilding engines for his many vehicles. After his kids were grown he took up riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He traveled the states on his Harley, sightseeing and visiting family. He was proud to be known as an Iron Butt rider. In addition to enjoying time out on his Harley, he was extremely dedicated to turning his FXR into a Vietnam memorial bike. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Brannan, mother, Dorothy Gray Hatfield, and his stepfather, Ray Hatfield. He is survived by his three children, Brian Brannan, Rene Page, and Tina LaDue, eight grandchildren, Robyn Island, Brittany Brannan, Tori Randel-LaDue, Layne Page, Alexa LaDue, Allison Page, Tyler LaDue, and Karli Page, and one great grandchild, Darrian Island. He is also survived by his seven siblings, Doris Taylor, Patricia Madkin, Connie Tipton, Donny Hatfield, Beverly Sligar, Janet Snodgrass, and Paula Edwards, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
