Obituary of Wreatha V Pritchard
Wreatha V. Pritchard passed through the Pearly Gates to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma on Independence Day, 1931 to parents James Sr. and Wreatha Edelman.
Wreatha attended Kiefer High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She married Bud Pritchard on June 30, 1984 and the couple shared 25 years of marriage. She enjoyed attending services at Kiefer First Christian Church and was a faithful member until her health declined. She served the church by typing church bulletins and by preparing Communion for Sunday morning services. She loved to travel and visited many places. She liked to ride in the golf cart and watch Bud play golf during their travels. She loved spending time with her granddaughters. On Saturdays they would go visit their Granny. Granny kept play clothes at her house and would let them get as dirty as they wanted. She would put the girls in the bath tub, give them a can of shaving cream to draw pictures on the shower walls and let them play for hours. Then she would get them out of the tub and back in clean clothes before David and Gina came to pick them up. The girls remember cooking with their Granny and that she let them eat junk food all day long. She was a good mother and friend. She will be greatly be missed by all who knew her.
Wreatha was preceded in death by her parents James and Wreatha Edelman; daughter Joan Cox; husband Bud Pritchard; and brothers John and Jim Edelman. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son David Cox and wife Gina; granddaughters Sarah Hayes and husband; and Anna Cox; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 15, 2016 at Kiefer First Christian Church with Pastor Aubrey Roberts officiating. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312/www/greenhillok.com
