Obituary of Clarence Allen Thomas

Clarence Allen Thomas, of Jenks, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord July 8, 2016 at the age of 82. He graduated in 1951 from Daniel Webster High School and attended Rogers State College for Broadcast Engineering. He married Doris Lauer August 29, 1952 and the couple shared almost 64 years together. They were blessed with 4 children. Clarence worked as a host for “Earling in the Morning,” John Henry Show, and worked for Clear Channel Communication KMOD setting up live broadcasts. He was an Entrepreneur and worked in oil production, previously working at SunOil Refinery. He enjoyed whittling, working with stained glass, wood working, sailing, music and rebuilding musical instruments and he played bass in the blue grass band Oklahoma Bluestem. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Esther Thomas; brother Arvid Thomas; sister Katherine Gahn; daughters-in-law Cindy and Janet Thomas. He is survived by wife Doris Jean Thomas, of the home; children Mike Thomas of Bristow, Steven Thomas of Beggs, Paul Thomas and wife Beverly of Skiatook; Marvin Thomas and wife Sandra of Sapulpa; grandchildren Shelly Clayand husband Wayne, Marvin Thomas and wife Teresa, Travis Thomas and wife Ashley, Megan Thomas, Steven Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Roy Thomas and wife Stephanie, Tiffany Brandt and husband James, Sarah Bernache and husband Shem, Daniel Thomas and wife Magan, Julie Foote and husband Samuel, Joseph Thomas and wife Mishelle, Emily Thomas, Maggie Averill, Kayla Selph and husband Casey, Mallary Tate and husband Jeff, Whitley Bible and husband Tyler and Charles Thomas and wife Bethany; 31 great-grandchildren; brother David Thomas. His family loved him very much. They will miss him greatly and always treasure the memories made together. Funeral Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on July 13, 2016 at Angus Church. Visitation is 9 am until 8 pm Tuesday with the family at the funeral home to greet friends from 5-7 pm.
