Obituary of Melba Jean Luster

Melba Jean (Hinkle) Luster died in peace and in the arms of the Lord on July 31, 2016. She lived in Arbor Village and was 82 years old. Melba was born in Okemah, Oklahoma to Charles and Rosie Hinkle on July 14, 1934. She was a loving wife and mother who spent her whole life leading others to Christ. She and her husband, Ray Luster, led the Youth Ministry at their church for many years. They made a larger than life impression on everyone they met. Melba had 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family, but also greatly celebrated as we know she is now in the arms of our Lord. She always said, “Don’t cry for me. I’m going home.” She loved her kids and her grandchildren with all her heart. Her husband was her closest friend. Though we miss her – be happy. Let today be a celebration of her life. Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is Wednesday from 10 am until 8 pm.
