Obituary of Linda Kay Mcnabb

Linda Kay McNabb was born on June 8, 1943 to Jack and Kathleen Sparks in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She passed away in her home on August 3, 2016 at the age of 73. Linda lived in Mounds her entire life and raised her family there. She graduated from Mounds High School in 1961. Linda attended the Mounds Christian Church and was an integral part of many church functions, teaching, programs and coordinating events throughout the years. She was a part of the Mounds Historical Society, Turkey Shoot, and served on many volunteer school functions with her friends. She volunteered for the Lions Club and later the Ministerial Alliance with their annual fish fry. Linda was a Friends of the Library volunteer, Alumni Association member and an original Jamboree member for the town. Most importantly to her, she was a mom to her three boys and their friends throughout the years. Linda married Leon O. McNabb Jr. (L.O.) on May 17, 1968 at the Mounds Christian Church. She soon resigned from Bartlett Collins Glass to begin their family together. Her passion was serving her church, friends, community and her family. She loved to please others and never met a stranger. Her home was often considered a place for others to find comfort and happiness when visiting the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Kathleen Sparks Sr.; Brothers Gary and Jack B Sparks Jr. (J.B.); and her son Christopher Todd McNabb. She is survived by her son Steve McNabb, his wife Melissa and their children, Kyleigh and Connor McNabb of Mounds, Oklahoma; her son, Tim McNabb and daughter, Kelsei McNabb of Mounds, Oklahoma; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Mound Christian Church. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home.
