Obituary of Ruby Lea Haney

Ruby Lea Haney was born on December 28th 1923 in Jenks, Ok to Lee and Purnie Anglin. She departed this life on August 17th 2016 at the age of 93. Ruby grew up in the Jenks area and attended Jenks public schools. She married the love of her life, Louis Willis Haney, on October 7th 1940, and would tell you about her love for him and his sparkling blue eyes every chance she got. Ruby and Louis had four children: Gloria Lea, Louis David, Patricia Sue, and Carrol Ann. Seven Grandchildren: Randall Phillpot, Suzanne Philpott Giddens, Darrick Wolfe, Darren Wolfe, Dustin Wolfe, Douglas Waggonner, and Lori Waggonner Austin. As well as thirteen great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. Ruby loved to travel and often talked about going to the lake or ocean and enjoyed boating and camping as a young woman. She loved gardening. Planting every type of flower she could find and get her hands on. She loved to share her flowers and would offer them to anyone who shared her love for yard work. Ruby loved to dance, listen to music, and watch musicians play live. She loved her family and her siblings: Reba, Lena, Betty, Willard and Bill. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Louis Haney, her Infant son Louis David, husband Burvin Nickolson, grandson Derrick Wolfe, daughter Gloria Philpott, and brothers Willard and Bill Anglin. A Memorial Service is scheduled in the Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday August 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
