Obituary of Larry Michael Glenn Cawvey

In Celebration of our/my Hero Veteran’s Life. Larry Michael Glenn Cawvey (Mike/Mikey), age 58, passed away August 6th, 2016 at St. John Medical Center, surrounded by his wife and other friends until the end. Mike was born July 31st, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Leroy Cawvey, Sr. and Sheila (Zimmerman) Cawvey. Mike was dedicated to becoming a career Navy man after getting his GED. He loved his country and the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for America, the Land of the Free & Home of the Brave. In 2006 Mike was the District Commander for the State of Oklahoma and volunteered through American Legion Post 1, Tulsa, OK as well as being active in the Soldier’s Wish Foundation. Mike was a wonderful husband and tried to work at being a good step-dad. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his dogs Princess and Cooper. He also enjoyed garage sales, the casino and Cinemark. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Leroy Cawvey, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Summer, of the home and two siblings. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
