Obituary of Darlene Mae Kirby

Darlene Mae Kirby, 88, born November 6, 1927 to Charles and Daisy Cook, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2016. Darlene Mae Cook married Robert V. Kirby and from this union were four sons; Terry, Charlie, Mike and Greg. She was preceded in death by parents Charles and Daisy Cook; son Terry Kirby; sisters, Marylouise Cook Ogden, Joann Cook Cogdill; brothers, Carey Cook, Charles Cook and Ronnie Cook. She is survived by son Charlie Kirby and wife Mary of Sapulpa; son Mike Kirby and wife LaVaughn of Bixby; son Gregory Kirby of Sapulpa; 9 grandchildren, Andrea, DeWayne Devin and Dustin of Tulsa; Charles Kirby of Sapulpa; Sara Wadley and husband Mike of Oklahoma City; Darrin Kirby and wife Cassie of Morris; Darryl Kirby and wife Michele of Mannford; and Buzz Kirby and wife Kimberly of Panama City, FL.; 11 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Max and Logan Wadley of Oklahoma City; Trey and Hayden Kirby of Jennings; Brittany Beaudett of Morris; Kara Jackson and husband Larry of Kellyville; Ricky and David Gilly of Mannford; and Keyton Kirby of Panama City, FL; 1 great, great-grandson, Landon Jackson of Kellyville; 3 brothers Frank Cook; Jimmy Cook; Lonnie Cook; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Darlene was a very feisty little woman. If you didn’t want the truth don’t ask the question. She also loved to dance and was pretty good at it. She enjoyed kidding around with the grandkids. Her sons love to aggregate her and she loved it. She loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am Friday, September 9, 2016 at South Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be at Green Hill Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.
