Obituary of Jessie I Cochran

Jessie I. Cochran went to be with her Lord on Monday October 3, 2016 at her home in Newkirk, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family. She was 87 years old. Jessie was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on September 11, 1929 to Walter and Esther Freeze. She grew up in Braman, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school. Later Jessie married Frank Kennedy and made their home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. From this union 6 children were born. Jessie later married Claude “Buck” Cochran. They made their home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Jessie was a beautician by trade. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, crocheting and sewing. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband Claude “Buck” Cochran, son Rusty Kennedy, parents Walter & Esther Freeze, brother Buddy Freeze, and sister Maria Cunningham. Survivors include one sister, Edna Mae Bradford of Denton, TX, daughters Mickey Landers and husband Ralph of Newkirk, OK, Sue Sigler and husband Bruce of Hornbeck, LA, Debbie Kent of Newkirk, OK, Cheryl Ely of Wellington, OK, and Francis Davis of Durant, OK, numerous grandkids, great-grandkids and great, great-grandkids.
