Obituary of Irene Parker

Irene Parker, 96, of Sapulpa, passed away on October 12, 2016 in Drumright, Oklahoma. Irene was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on August 10, 1920 to Ben and Bessie Loudermilk. She was married to Delious A. Parker on October 30, 1935 in the Muskogee, Oklahoma Courthouse. They had a son, Gene, September 7, 1937 and a daughter, Kathy, on June 30, 1942. She was a housewife and mother most of her life. She did alterations for a short period of time, also worked at Wickhams in Sapulpa. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Bessie Loudermilk; a brother, William (Bill) Loudermilk; and a sister Cleo Davi. She is survived by son Delious E. Parker of Sapulpa; a daughter Kathy Spencer of Drumright; and a sister, Katherine Peters of Alamosa, Iowa; as well as grandchildren Cindy Whisenhunt, Patsy Frazier, Jina Ruth, and many great-grandchildren. Services are at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Olive First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 3-8 pm at the funeral home.
