Obituary of Denny Ray Slife

Denny Ray Slife was born September 26, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Oscar Julius and Ella Mae Slife. He attended Sapulpa Schools and then began working for his father’s company as a teenager, doing tank maintenance in the oil industry. Following the death of his father, Denny worked at various jobs including picking up and selling scrap metals and buying and selling the contents of storage buildings to provide for his family. For many years he overcame health problems and made a good living for the family. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rita Slife; daughter Delaina and her husband Scott; grandson Damon; granddaughters Alexis and Paige; brothers Dwayne and Dale and sister Debi; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Denny was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Ella Mae Slife; grandson Cameron Ray Dodds; and granddaughter Zoey Piper Garcia. Denny enjoyed his family, casinos, playing the drums, road trips and fried chicken until he left this world on October 24, 2016. He will be greatly missed. Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Wednesday and 9 am until 8 pm Thursday.
