Janis Lane McIntyre was born May 7, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High school in 1964. Janis worked at Hissom, where she cared for the handicapped. She also worked at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital where she worked in the Nursery department. Janis married Fred Wells and through this union one daughter, Jana L. Wells, was born. She then married Aaron D. McIntyre and through this union one son, Shay Aaron Dean McIntyre, was born. Jana was preceded in death by her grandfather, Silas L. Hardmond; her grandmother, Willie Mae Hardmond; her father, Anderson Brooks, her mother, Mae Wilda Hardmond; her brother, Lawrence L. Jackson; her sister, Tanya D. Williams; and a host of uncles and aunts. Janis is survived by daughter, Jana L. Wells; son, Shay Aaron Dean McIntyre; special daughter, Jetta "Twiggy" McIntyre; special God-son, Davron Petty, who helped her in her sickness through her last four years; brother, Roy E. Jackson; sister, Kimberly E. Jackson-Dennis, grandson, Lelan D. Wells; and uncle, Roy E. Hardmond of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Janis was a very kind person, who loved to shop and have garage sales. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sapulpa where she was a member of the Eastern Star Organization. She loved working in the church as well as helping people. She will be greatly missed.
