Dolly Vaughn, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Oct. 27, 2016. Dolly was born in Parsons, Kan., on March 29, 1951, to Carl and Lorene Reynolds. She graduated from Dewey High School as valedictorian and then attended OSU, eventually graduating Cum Laude from OU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology in 1996.
Dolly was passionate about her career. As a business analyst, she enjoyed solving incredibly complex and technical problems. She also loved interior design and shopping and her house was a warm, inviting place.
Dolly always had time for everybody else first, and always saw the good in people. She was married to Brien Vaughn, the love of her life for 13 years, after 12 years of pursuit! Dolly was incredibly dedicated to her grandson and her children. As a member of First United Methodist of Owasso, she was a devoted follower who loved Sunday School and read her devotional every day.
She was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and lived in Guam earlier in her life and visited Hong Kong and Singapore as well. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, including a memorable trip they took to Alaska with their grandson. She was also an avid reader of historical fiction.
