Obituary of John Robert Bolton

John Robert Bolton went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2016 at the Claremore Veterans Center at the age of 89. He was born on September 7, 1927 in Agra, Oklahoma to Elihu J. and Alice Bolton. John was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife Audra, son Tommy, daughter Elizabeth Bell and her husband Walter, daughter Marian McKinley and her husband Ron, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers Glen Bolton of Oklahoma and Larry Bolton of California, sister Evelyn Miles of Kentucky and many friends and family. John was in the military and served in World War II in Germany until 1948. Upon his honorable discharge from the US Army he married his lovely bride, Audra Lackey in Visalia, California on August 26, 1948. In his early years John worked hard at various labor jobs to provide for his family. Later he owned 2 small businesses and enjoyed serving the Lord in his church. John was a family oriented man, who was always there for all family members. He greatly loved his bride Audra and had tremendous pride for his son Tommy Lee. John Robert Bolton was a Godly man whose life revolved around service to his country and sacrifice for his family. You will always be in our hearts until we see you again. You will be greatly missed and we love you! Services will be held at Fisher Baptist Church in Sand Springs at 2:00 pm Friday, November 4, 2016 with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa.
