Obituary of Michael Douglas Champlain

Michael "Mike" Douglas Champlain, 58, of Midwest City Oklahoma, entered the arms of our Savior on December 13, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Ok. Funeral services will be held at Green Hill Funeral Home on Friday, December 16 at 2pm. Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Mike was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Tom and Eloise Champlain on February 1, 1958. He went to school in Midwest City, Ok. Mike worked at Liberty Glass Plant for many years before pursuing one of his passions when he opened a custom golf shop. He later became a truck driver and explored the United States. Mike loved to get his hands dirty and was often found elbow deep in grease. He loved hot rods and anything he could tear apart and put back together. Mike loved to make people laugh and was always favored by his family as being the fun uncle. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Tom Champlain. His Aunt, Sue Davis, Uncle, Kenneth Selby. His grandparents Bill and Rosalie Selby of Sapulpa, OK and Bill and Vivian Champlain of Park Hill, OK. Mike is survived by his three children. His daughter, Cassie and her husband Oscar Pound of Glenpool, Ok, his son Michael Champlain of Mounds, Ok and his youngest daughter Kimberlie Champlain of Pueblo, Colorado. His grandchildren, Adalyn, Jason, Maddux, Haley, Logan, Blake, Evan and Jake of Glenpool, Ok. His mother, Eloise Champlain of Midwest City, Ok. His brother Scott Champlain and his wife, Connie of Edmond, Ok and many others. The family of Mike Champlain wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Ok and Alliance Health in Midwest City, Ok for their care, love and support of Mike during the final months of his life.
