Obituary of Iva Jane Atkins

Iva Jane (Fahnholz) Atkins was born February 24, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Josie (Mills) Fahnholz. She passed away December 29, 2016 at the age of 59. Iva was preceded in death by her brother August Jackson Fahnholz; sister Rita Carol Harold; father John Frederick Fahnholz; mother Josie Verna Fahnholz. She is survived by husband Ronald Atkins; four children, Patsy Hardesty; Jeremy Atkins; Timothy Atkins; and Ronald Atkins; four grandchildren, Iva Jo Hardesty; Kylie Jane Atkins; Joseph Allen Hardesty; and Fredrick Grant Hardesty; brother Raymond Fahnholz of Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family. Iva was a hard worker all her life. She was also a wonderful mother. Iva had many talents and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, hand crafts and much, much more. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. . She meant so much to so many people and will be greatly missed. Her love and memory will always be with us in our hearts. May Iva’s memory live on while she rests in peace. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
