Obituary of Fred Leroy Covey, Jr.

Fred Leroy Covey Jr., born December 28th 1968, left us to be with his wife Rita Kay Covey on March 3rd 2017, at the age of 48. Fred was extremely loving and proud of his two daughters Breeanna Covey, of Sapulpa and Devin Covey and her fiancé Justin Eberle as well as granddaughter Stormie Eberle, of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by his mother Lynda Friend and step-father George Friend, of Sapulpa; brother David Covey, of Sapulpa; step-sister Sheryl Clark of Kellyville; step-brothers John Friend of Kellyville and Steven Friend of Norman; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Fred was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Fred worked at the Sapulpa Daily Herald. He loved watching wresting and sharing a beer with his friends. He always cheered for his team, the Dallas Cowboys, when they played and always jammed out to his favorite band Metallica. Fred was the life of every party and the constant comedian. He could make anyone laugh and won over everyone he met with his cheerful personality and natural charisma. Fred lived his life to the fullest and left everybody better for having known him. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Floral Haven. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am – 8 pm Monday at Green Hill Funeral Home.
