Obituary of Lahoma Irene Baker

Lahoma Irene (Moore) Baker, known to many as “Baby,” went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2017 at St. John Medical Center. She was 70 years old. She was born April 17, 1946 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Homer Jesse Moore and Cecilia (Pettit) Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Cecilia Moore; and her husband Richard Baker. She is survived by daughter Linda Dobson and husband Sean; daughter Lisa Baker; daughter Casey Britt and husband Justin; two grandchildren, Steven Rankin and Stephanie Rankin; and one great-granddaughter, Chloe Wood. Lahoma married Richard (Ray) Baker on August 28, 1964. The couple was married 51 years. The marriage was blessed with 3 daughters; Linda, Lisa and Casey. She worked as a caregiver to the elderly until her daughters came along. After her daughters were born she stayed home to raise her family. She was an independent woman, maybe a little bit stubborn. She was also very talented and able to do anything she set her mind to do. She worked on lawn mowers and once built a pole barn, all by herself, to store the lawn equipment. She was also a very giving woman. She took care of everyone and always put others first in everything she did. Her family loved her greatly and she will be deeply missed. The family is grateful for the beautiful memories she made with them and those memories will be cherished until they see her again. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 400 E.
