Obituary of Gary Dwight Williams

Gary D. Williams January 26, 1949 – April 8, 2017 Gary passed on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 8, 2017 after a long fight with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his family. Gary came into this world January 26, 1949 in West “by God” Virginia in Kanawha County. He was welcomed home by his two older sisters Donna and Judy. He graduated from St. Albans High School in 1967. He then went to work for Caterpillar until he retired in 1999. He was united in marriage to Deborah Midkiff January 1, 1968 and to this union a son was born, Michael D. Williams. On the 26th day of December 1987 he married his soulmate and best friend, Carol. They had 29 years of love, laughter and happiness. Gary was preceded in death by his nephew Robbie Friend, dad Elmer, nephew Jeff Harper, sister Donna Carpenter, brother-in-law Bill Carpenter, and mother-in-law Zola Dennis. He is survived by his mother Edith Williams, loving wife Carol, of the home, son Michael and wife Kathy of Rockford, IL, step-sons Jeff Dennis of Broken Arrow, Rob Dennis of Sapulpa, step-daughter Meghan of Sapulpa and his favorite Aunt Gladys of Lewisburg, WV. He is also survived by nine grandchildren Natalie, Amanda, Gunner, Cody and wife Kaylee, Mikenlea and husband Cody, Caden, Austin and wife Brittany, Mariah and Kelton. Five great-grandchildren; Madison, Chloe, Hadley, Easton and Nolan. As well as sister Judy and husband Jim and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
