Obituary of Frankie Juanita Thompson

Frankie Juanita Thompson passed from this life April 25, 2017 at the age of 89 years and 3 days. Frankie was born April 22, 1928 in Haysville, North Carolina to John and Nora (Caringer) Sawyer.

Frankie moved to Sapulpa with her family at the age of 8 years. Frankie married Wetzel G. Thompson October 27, 1945. Frankie and Wetzel had two children, Danny and Janice. Frankie & Wetzel were married 49 years until Wetzel’s death in 1994.

 Frankie was very active. She enjoyed flower gardening, working in the yard, walking and exercise. Frankie loved her church and church family. She was a charter member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. Frankie loved music & dancing. Frankie devoted her life to caregiving for her grandchildren, family & friends.

Frankie is survived by son Danny (Virginia) Thompson, daughter Janice (Rod) Chambers, all of Sapulpa. Frankie also leaves grandchildren: Forrest Chambers of Sapulpa, Amanda (John) Houston of Sand Springs and Clayton Chambers of Sapulpa. Great grandchildren are JT and Derek Houston, Emily & Nathan Chambers.

A Celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 28th at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa.  Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.
