Obituary of Kenneth Neal Powell
Kenneth “Keno” Neal Powell of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord May 14, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Keno was born June 3, 1928 in Kellyville, OK to Lana Dorothy Miller and George Washington Powell.
He grew up in Sapulpa, helping in his parent’s cleaners. He joined the United States Military and served in the Korean War. Keno, like his mother, had a love for animals. He was a very kind, and caring man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Bryan and his friends. He always liked to take the back roads no matter where he went.
Keno was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and George Powell; sister Sue Ann Edmondson; and wife Pearl Powell Williams. He is survived by son Bryan Powell and Crystal of Sapulpa; two step-children, Alisa and Ollie Cue of Sapulpa and Patrick and Bonnie Estabrook of Bismark, ND; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is scheduled from 6 – 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312 / www.greenhillok.com
