Obituary of Betty Marie Frazier

Betty Marie (Parker) Jordan Frazier, 83, of Kellyville, formerly of Jenks, peacefully went to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning at her home.

Betty was born November 11, 1933, to Frank and Beulah Parker, in Stonebluff OK.  They later moved to Bixby, where she attended school and played high school basketball for the Bixby Spartans.

She married her first love, Raymond “Jerb” Jordan after high school, when they eloped.  Then they moved to Jenks where they started a family.   Together they had 3 children; Georgia, Lucky and Judy.

Later in life Betty married R.D. Frazier.

Most of her life, she worked as a beautician from her home while raising her three children.   She later worked as a school bus driver for Jenks Public Schools.   She retired from Jenks Public Schools in 1993 after suffering a stroke.

She moved to Kellyville to be closer to her children and grandchildren.  She supported the Kellyville Ponies 100% while watching her grandkids play multiple sports.

For many years she enjoyed going with her friends for a good bingo game. She was an active bowler and won many tournaments in her younger days.   She enjoyed fishing and could stay all day at a pond and never get a nibble.  Betty loved sports of all kinds; basketball was her favorite (Go Thunder!) but loved her some good football too.  Anytime you asked her, she could list by name each team, along with each player and their coaches.

We will miss her calls needing the time and channel of each game, then listening to the “beeps” on the phone as she tried to change the TV with the phone, instead of the remote.

Although she did not regularly attend church, she loved the Lord and listened to the Gaither’s Gospel program every Saturday night and Sunday Morning.  You could hear that gospel music outside her home as you walked up to her door.

She loved her family. She wanted all of us to be together at the holidays and every chance we could.   It was a family joke at each gathering to see who could pick at the food and not get caught by mom for using our hands and not a fork.  We all became pretty good at it!

She was a stickler for cleanliness and wanted everything in its place.   Although she could not see well the last few years, if you “tracked” in a blade of grass, she could see it on the floor.    She was strong willed and at times you might even say stubborn.  She wanted to live independently in her own home.

She was one tough lady; she struggled with her diabetes at times, was a breast cancer survivor and had even overcome multiples strokes throughout the years.

You knew where you stood with her at all times. She spoke her mind, however, she had a kind heart, and wanted to help others and always wanted the best for her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.  She loved her momma and daddy and missed them deeply.

She will be greatly missed, but is rejoicing in Heaven and we will see her again.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Everett Parker.

She is survived by daughter, Georgia and husband Kenny Pack, son, Lucky Jordan and wife Kathy, and daughter, Judy and husband Brian East.

Grandchildren includes Kendra and husband Philip Chuculate, Kenny Ray Pack II and wife Katie, Melissa Riley, Clinton East and wife April, Jordy Jordan and wife Ashley, Dylan Jordan, Seanna and husband Jeff Cavallo.

Great Grandchildren, Skyler, Hunter, McKade, McKenna, Piper, Zander, Connor, Carter, Kane, Derek.

Sister, Patty (Tricia) and husband Curt Conway and numerous other relatives.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have supported us during this time.   Thank you to Roserock Hospice for your care. A special thank you to Cherry, Nancy, Tonya and nurse Teresa, and to her caregiver Reba, who brought mom comfort and security each day; we are grateful.   Each of you made it possible for us to honor mom’s wishes to be at home and did so with your tender care and loving touch.  Mom loved you all very much.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Kellyville Volunteer Fire Department.

Kellyville Rural Fire Association, P.O. Box 253, Kellyville, OK 74039. (918) 247-3677.

Services are scheduled at 2:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, Slick, OK.  Visitation is scheduled Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 1-8 pm.  The family will be at visitation from 5 - 7 p.m. to greet the public. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.  9182242312/www.greenhillok.com
