Obituary of Jerry Nolan Broomhall

Jerry Nolan Broomhall was born January 20, 1938 in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi to Finers and Ruth Broomhall.  He was number 5 of 10 children.  He passed from this life to his much earned and deserved Heavenly reward on June 12, 2017 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 79.  Jerry was a proud US Marine and dedicated, hard worker for 38 years for Burlington Northern Railroad.

Jerry attended high school in Sapulpa and Mannford and has lived for about 39 years in a home he had built in Sapulpa.  He was a long-time resident of Sapulpa.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, three of his brothers, Bill Broomhall, Charles Broomhall and Johnny Broomhall, one sister, Barbara Bledsoe and his beloved nephew, Bill Ellison.

Jerry is survived by his daughters; Jerrye Nell Broomhall and Jill Broomhall; his grandsons Jerry Jacob Broomhall and James Nolan Broomhall; sisters Gladys Channell, Doris Brown, Carolyn Wood and Gayle Crabtree; and brother Earl Broomhall.  He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and a host of long-time friends.  He was a great man and his passing is a huge loss to all who knew and loved him.

Jerry was a huge lover and rescuer of animals and his family would be delighted if you made a donation to an animal shelter in his name.  His family invites you to come and celebrate his meaningful and well spent life.

A Celebration of Life Service for Jerry will be at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 19, 2017.  He will be laid to rest in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Viewing will be from 1-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
