Obituary of James Morris Brock

James Morris Brock passed away June 21, 2017 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Center in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  He was 86 years old.  He was born in Barnsdall, Oklahoma on June 26, 1930 to George and Goldie (Garrett) Brock. 

James served in the United States Navy and later worked as a continuous Casting Operator in the Steel Industry.  He loved his family and was a good father to his children.  He was hardworking and often worked extra shifts at the steel mill.  He loved people.  He was a great neighbor and often mowed all the neighborhood lawns, ran the weed eater and took everyone’s trash to the curb on pick up day.  He was generous and kind, the type of man who would give someone the shirt off his back.  He enjoyed the outdoors.  He liked to water ski and loved flying.  His last airplane was named “Fly Baby.”  James also loved animals and he rescued many animals over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth and sister Ruby.  He is survived by his wife Beverly Joann Brock, of the home; children Laurie McDonald and husband Robb of Bixby; James “Jim” Brock of Tulsa; Daniel “Dan” Brock and wife Jacci of Tulsa; grandchildren Melanie Naifeh and husband Tony of Sapulpa; Misti Dawn Yerton and husband Adam of Tulsa; Richard Naifeh of Moore; Daniel “DJ” Brock of Tulsa; Stacy Hirschman and husband Robert of Del City; great-grandchildren Ian and Seth Molster; Ashley James; brothers Joe Brock and wife Pat of Sapulpa; George Frank Brock of Tulsa; sister Janice Crenshaw of Louisville, KY; and many, nieces, nephews and friends.  He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.  Final Resting Place will be Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is scheduled on Sunday from 1-8 pm with the family at the funeral home to greet friends from 6-8 pm.  In lieu of flowers the family would be pleased if donations were made to Sapulpa’s Animal Shelter - Sapulpa Furry Friends P.O.
