Obituary of Jean Marie Boone

Jean Marie Boone passed away August 1, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of 79.  Jean was born in Depuc, Iowa on December 21, 1937 to parents Tony and Margaret (Whitter) Meyers. 

Jean loved her flower garden.  She enjoyed tending her flowers, especially her roses.  She enjoyed watching humming birds and watching Nascar with her son Doug.  Jean did needle point and crocheted many afghans.  Many of her family received afghans as gifts. She liked cooking and baking and she made the best cherry pies and lemon meringue pies.  Her grandchildren enjoyed having her chex mix and taco roll ups at Christmas and they will miss getting recipes from her in the mail.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Margaret Meyers; and her 3 siblings, Deedee, Butch and JoAnn.  She is survived by her children Doug Bryant and wife Denise of Sand Springs, OK; Debbie Keller and husband Joe of Keokuk, IA; and Duane Bryant of Keokuk, IA; grandchildren Lee Bryant; Shana Crittenden and husband Jason; Fussy Ingram and husband Dylan; Stacy Cunningham and husband Dave; Michael Kelly and wife Suzy; Josh Bryant and wife Heidi; and Tasha Bryant; many great-grandchildren as well as her friend and helper Teresa and her bingo partner Mary.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the South Committal Center in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be at Green Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-8 pm.  The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.  9182242312 / www.greenhillok.com
